05:00

Runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to use the timer

  1. Type the time in hours, minutes and seconds, or click one of the quick times.
  2. Click Start. The yellow ring shows how much time is left.
  3. When time is up, the alarm plays for 30 seconds and the display blinks. Click Stop alarm.

Need more time? Click +1 min at any moment, even while the timer is running.

How to use the stopwatch

  1. Open the Stopwatch tab and click Start.
  2. Click Lap to record splits. The fastest lap is shown in green and the slowest in red.

In the classroom

  • Time a test, an exercise or a break and show it in full screen on the projector or TV.
  • Use the quick times for short activities: 1 minute for each student to speak, 5 minutes for a debate.
  • While the timer or stopwatch is running, the computer or phone screen won’t turn off on its own.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Space: start or pause.
  • R: reset.
  • L: record a lap on the stopwatch.

Frequently asked questions

Will the alarm ring if I switch tabs?

Yes. The alarm is scheduled on the device’s audio as soon as the timer starts, so it rings on time even with another tab open. Keep the volume up and Alarm sound ticked.

Does it work with the phone screen locked?

With the screen locked, the phone may pause the browser and the alarm might not play. On a phone, keep the page open: while the timer runs, the screen stays on automatically.

Is it accurate?

Yes. Time is calculated from the device clock rather than by counting seconds, so it doesn’t drift, even on long countdowns.

Can I use it as a Pomodoro timer?

Yes: use 25 minutes to focus and 5 minutes to rest. Both are among the quick times.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works right in the browser on computers, tablets and phones.
